April 1, 2014: April Fool’s Day
I’m thinking every day is Fool’s Day. We don’t need a special day to say so. It’s kind of like having a Breathing Day. I know, I know—it’s a day to fool people and be fooled and laugh. Being made a fool of is also a common event, almost like breathing. We can fool folks and be fooled—so what?
Bonus Round?:
Okay, I’m just being a curmudgeon. If we’re fools every day, then let’s take a day and give everyone a pass, right? Hmmm, that might be okay if we actually did it that way.
Bonus Round Continued?:
I know there are Saints’ Days when saints are celebrated (like All Saints’ Day—though it’s interesting how Halloween came to be manifested), but do we have a Saint’s Day whereby we celebrate all that is good in us, by being all that is good in us?
