Uncovering problems should not be the same as identifying with them. Anon

One’s identity is an ongoing dynamic—there is really no “place” one can land and declare it done. But the fact that one has a cold, does not mean one is a cold. Easy one, eh? But what about gender or culture or age or weight or height or whatever?

Maybe having an identity is a fun thing, a way to organize. Maybe thinking an identity is what we are is not so fun or properly organized, even if it seems fun and organized.

What are we without an identity? Maybe that sort of “Mona Lisa” smile?
